Methodology
My Farm Sdn Bhd has conducted a survey to know more about the perception of people about our products, services, performance and quality the industry itself. This survey is using online survey which all questions had been uploaded in our blog www.myfarmgoat.blogspot.com. Our respondents are our existing customers and blog visitors which voluntarily answer this survey. Total of 20 persons had answered the questions and become our respondents.

Finding from My Farm’s survey
From the survey that has been conducted, 90% of the respondents know about My Farm products. Majority of our respondents recognize My Farm product through internet which is take 60% from the total respondent. Then, it follows by other medium such as television 5%, radio 5%, newspaper 10%, and others 20%.

To sum up, total respondents that aware about our products are 90% while 10% answer never heard about our company. It is due to the answer that had given by blog visitors which just google the internet and found about our company. It is also indicator that we need to aggressively market about our product, so My Farm can establish high reputation in this industry.
Apart from that, we found that internet can be a best medium to market our products because 60% of respondents agreed that they get the information about our company through it. From this fact, we introduce our blog, www.myfarmgoat.blogspot.com and we believe that this introduction is the best step to capture goat market. Secondly, (others) 20% of respondents know about our product through their family or friends. That’s why we need to put a high standard of services when we serve our customers. From these two types of medium, we strongly believe that customer can interact with our company directly and easily.
Respondents also admit that they largely consume or buy our live stocks or goat meat which is takes 70% from the total respondents. While other products such as goat milk only just 20% and food supplement for the goat with 10% of the respondents buy from My Farm Sdn Bhd.
From this fact, we can assume that our customer is more likely to buy live stocks/goat meat from us. It’s maybe due to the lesser amount of Jamnapari, our type of goat that produces milk still not sufficient to cater the demand of goat milk. We currently still in the process to buy 10 more Jamnapari just to increase the production of milk. For the food supplement, we think that respondents have their own suppliers that maybe offer that product with more reasonable price. However, it is not our concern because it is not our core business.
From the survey also, we found that some of other companies which are offering the same product and using the same method with our company. Some of those companies are KYL Farm Sdn Bhd, Positive Prospect Sdn Bhd and Intirajaya Sdn Bhd. These companies sell product based on goat and also make business based on internet. Some of respondents take local supplier near them to get any products based on goat. The respondents chose these alternatives because of their well known (40%) and easy access or contact (30%) in making business. Some of the respondents admit less information of My Farm Sdn Bhd (20%) and cheaper price (10%) as their reason why they build business relationship with our rival.
From this information, we conclude that we have a very close competition that provides the same products and using the same method to cater the market. We need to do more to capture the market share and compete with other rivals that might have in the industry much longer than us. We try to provide the best services and we know that there is a lot more to do in order to establish high reputation.
Furthermore, the survey also inquired respondents to rank their satisfaction toward My Farm Sdn Bhd which 90% of them satisfied with our products and services. My Farm products that satisfy most our respondents is livestock or goat meat with 70% of respondents rank it. Then, it follows by My Farm goat milk which had been ranked as a second most satisfied product with 20% of respondents agreed with that. Another 10% is come from the selling of food supplements.
From this fact, we assume that 10% of respondent might not use yet our products. As I had said earlier, it is the group who did not know anything about My Farm. We believe that this case is a minor case which did not portray the fact that our products are not good.
Majority of our respondents admit that easy access or contact with My Farm (40%) is the main reason why they satisfy with our services. Furthermore, other factors like cheaper price (30%) and quality of our products (20%) contribute why they please with our services. My Farm is a local product (10%) which is also a reason why respondent please with our products.
From this result, we know that the fact that they can easy to access or contact us contribute the most reason why they choose My Farm. New technology that we have helps My Farm sustain this kind of services. The fact that our price is slightly cheaper compared to the competitor also a reason why respondent please with our services.
Overall, our respondents acknowledge that they rate our products (95%), performance (90%), excellent services (85%) and quality of our product (80%).The respondents also give some suggestions towards improvement in My Farm such as to improve quality of products and services, to increase capacity and variety of products, and to increase coverage of My Farm delivering products.
From this result, our company believes that it is more to do to improve the quality of our product. It is indicator that, we need to have a standard that make sure every production must achieve that before we can sell our products. Our respondents also give ideas that we need to increase the production and variety of our product. Our company believes that, we should have our own Research and Development to develop new idea that will help company to sustain in future. In addition, the improvement of quality and coverage of delivering products might a good idea to develop a strong relationship with customers.
